KOALA owners are on track for a busy booking month! As ongoing vaccinations bring renewed confidence, travelers are looking to take the dream trips they missed in 2020. Here are some of the key details:

1. We’re planning for a post-COVID world: travelers are looking forward to fall and summer for their next vacation. Moreover, travelers are planning further ahead: the average time between booking and check-in on KOALA has increased by 30% this month so far. Listings for these high-demand periods are proving highly competitive (hint, hint!).
2. Spacious vacations are in demand: A whopping 75% of our march bookings were for 2 bedroom suites (an increase of 5% over the February total), followed by 3 bedroom suites at 14%. In a nutshell, listings that offer space for families and groups are primed for booking!
3. Affordability is key (really): While owners have costs to cover, the market favors deals, especially now. The average price per night of those highly bookable 2-bedroom listings this month so far is $193. Moreover, listings priced below $200 per night have a clear leg up. To give yourself the best chance of getting booked, check the competition: a listing priced 20-25% below the price on booking platforms such as Expedia.com has the strongest chance of getting booked.
