Though we still have quite a journey ahead, optimism continues to grow with ever-increasing vaccine distributions – in January, our hosts saw their highest number of bookings yet. If you’re a timeshare owner, here’s everything you need to know about the whens, the wheres, and how your timeshare rental can align with travelers looking towards a long-deferred adventure. 

Sunshine and Family Fun is on the Agenda 

Firstly, where to, when it’s safer to explore again? Our booking insights show guests are yearning for sunny vibes and nourishing destinations. Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek – with amenities aplenty in the heart of Orlando – reigns as the most popular resort on our marketplace, while resorts like the seaside Club Wyndham Ocean Walk are proving to be highly sought after as well.

Starting in late spring and continuing through the summer, travelers are also gravitating towards Club Wyndham Margaritaville St. Thomas, reflecting both increased optimism for travel further afield and the aforementioned craving for sunny destinations.

Marriott’s Crystal Shores on Marco Island was also popular with travelers. With a prime beachfront location and abounding with both natural beauty and activities, we’re not surprised to see this upscale beach gem enter the most-booked rankings. At the risk of repeating ourselves, fun in the sun is clearly front and center!

Our 2021 Booking Window Insights 

When considering venturing out this year, perhaps the most important question is when? The majority of our 2021 bookings are for late spring and summer. In a nutshell, the later in the year, the more confident travelers will feel embarking on vacation. 

And though it may seem ages away, don’t overlook the value of securing a rental listing in advance for the holidays. 21% of our recent bookings are for this Fall or later, reflecting growing interest in securing holiday accommodations.

Security and confidence are sure to be top of mind for guests planning trips in 2021, and your listing’s cancellation policy can also provide that extra layer of support. Should travel plans change for any reason, our flexible cancellation policy ensures a full refund for guests, if cancelled within 72 hours of check-in. 

Travelers Want the Full Timeshare Experience 

As for the unit itself, if you’re a points owner deciding on a suite for your listing, 65% of our recent bookings are for two-bedroom units. These insights also suggest that guests want to dive into all that timeshare accommodations have to offer, as most multi-room units also come with full kitchens, living spaces, and washers and dryers.
